Curtis Ray Thompson , 72, of 42 09 Dunlap Creek Road, died, Thursday, January 7, 2010 at his residence.
He was born April 27, 1937 in Clifton Forge, a son of the late John and Stella Britt Thompson.
Mr. Thompson retired in 1992 from the Ohio Laborer's Union as a Contractor. He was a life member of Dunlap Fire and Rescue Departments and was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years , Norma Lewis Thompson in 2001 and also by four brothers, Cecil Thompson, Earl Thompson, Sr., and Russell "Buddy" Thompson and a sister, Gladys Hannah.
Surviving are one son and daughter- in- law, Loren and Marcy Thompson of Covington; his cherished grandchildren, Ethan Thompson and Allison Thompson , both of Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Dodge and her husband, Frank of Roanoke; and Mrs. Lourine Davis of Salem; a sister in-law, Mrs. Jeressa Thompson of Iron Gate and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The interment will follow in Palestine Chapel Cemetery.
