William Burhenn, Jr., 81, of Mt. Airy, NC, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at his home. Mr. Burhenn was born September 22, 1931, in Stonington, Colorado, a son of the late William Burhenn, Sr. and Josephine Christiansen Burhenn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Emma Frances Brooks Burhenn, in October of 2012, and also by eight brothers and one sister. Surviving are two Sons and Daughters-in-law, William and Robin Burhenn of Covington and Kelly and Vickie Burhenn of Ararat; one Daughter and Son-in-law, Theresa and Danny Boone of Covington; four grandchildren, Chris Boone, Erin Boone, David Burhenn and Derek Burhenn; one step grandchild, Miranda Moncus; one step great grandchild, Carter Moncus one Sister, and Brother-in-law, Ruby and Bill Ermel of Burlington, CO; Sisters in law, Vina Jewel Burhenn of Walsh, CO, Mary Barber and her husband Bill and Velma Craft and her husband Jimmy, all of Covington, Vivian Pendleton of Clifton Forge, and Shirley Keith and her husband, James of Hampton and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. Memorial Information The family suggests that donations in Mr. Burhenn's name be made to the Wounded Warrior Project
