GERALINE SHUFF Edith Geraline Persinger Shuff, 78, of The Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge, died, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor. She was born October 29, 1933 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Roy William Persinger and Ruby Tucker Persinger Elmore. Mrs. Shuff was a retired private duty nurse. She was a member of the Cliffdale Christian Church where she sang in the church choir for a number of years. Geraline was a member of The Pott's Valley Singers. Her second home was D & J Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Raymond Persinger, Jr. in 1989 ;two daughters, Linda Persinger in 1955 and Debbie Dawson in 2012 ; one son, Carlos Persinger, Sr. in 2009; two great grandsons, Raymond Conner Wolfe and Blake Carl Sparks and two sisters, Winnie Smith and Frances New. Surviving are her husband, Roscoe T. Shuff of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Sherry Lappeaux and Willie Graham of Hot Springs and Tammie Hepler and her husband Jessie of Selma; one step son, William Thomas Shuff of New Jersey; one step daughter, Lou Ellen Paulson of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Bobby Wolfe, Jr; Raymond Wolfe; Jennifer Pritt; Christina Lappeaux; Drew Hepler; William Jennings; Carlos Persinger, Jr; and Rebecca Persinger; great grandchildren, Taylor Wolfe; Jacob Wolfe; Harley Wolfe and Carleigh Crawford; step grandchildren, Jerry Paulson and Jeremiah Paulson; Christian Shuff; Audrey Shuff and Kayla Shuff; two sisters-in-laws , Annie Persinger and Juanita Hicks , both of Covington and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Christian and Rev. Dr. Riley Smith, Jr. officiating. The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandson's and Great Grandson's of Mrs. Shuff. Alternates will be nephews. The family will receive their friends this evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arritt Funeral Home .
