Wilma Burns Lipscomb, 82, of 416 Brentwood Drive died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Woodlands Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge. Mrs. Lipscomb was born November 18, 1934, in Highland County a daughter of the late William A. and Ava Jackson Burns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her Sister, Monna McElwee and husband, Winfred; her brother-in-law, Lewis Miller; and her mother-in-law, Rennie Robertson. She was a loving, lifelong homemaker and attended Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her Husband of 60 years, Lewis "Buddy" Lipscomb of Covington; two Daughters, Tammy Lipscomb of Clifton Forge and Cindy Barker and her husband, John, of Warm Springs; three grandchildren, Zack Barker, Naomie Barker and Ivy Barker; her great granddaughter, Ellie Mae Barker; one brother, Willliam V. Burns and his wife, Carol, of Covington; two sisters, Nellie Miller of Covington and Linda Hambrick and her husband, Bob, of Fincastle and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the graveside in Alleghany Memorial Park with Gary Pillow officiating. The family will receive their friends Friday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
