Dale Andrew Wilkerson, 65, of Covington, died Friday, November 22, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on April 22, 1959 in Alleghany County a son of the late Robert E. Wilkerson and Martha Lewis Wilkerson. In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wilkerson, and his sister Donna English.

Dale worked for Westrock in the wood department for many years. He was life member of Palestine Chapel Presbyterian Church and he served on the Palestine Chapel Cemetery committee. He was a proud member of the NRA.

Survivors include his sister, Peggy (William) Parks of Concord, NC; one aunt, JoAnn Cook of Covington, a brother-in-law, Harry English of Moneta; Mitzie Jones of Covington; two nieces, Erin Wood and Ashley Bobbitt; three nephews, Travis Parks, Mason Wilkerson, and Brian McGuire; and number of great nieces, nephews and several of cousins.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
