Dorothy Dawson Clark, 73, of Eagle Rock, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. She was born December 17, 1944 in Covington, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Givens Dawson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward David Clark, who died November 5, 2017 and a brother, William Dawson, Sr. Mrs. Clark was previously employed by the former Acadia Polymer in Iron Gate. She lived life to the fullest and was loved by everyone that knew her. Surviving are her daughter Sarah Dawson of Covington; two sisters, Trudy Wright and Linda Wright, both Covington; three brothers, Bobby Dawson Sr.; Johnny Dawson and Dean Dawson, all of Covington and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 2:30 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. David Brown officiating. The interment will be at Lone Star Cemetery. The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening, December 26, 2017, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arritt Funeral Home and at other times at Linda's residence 210 N. Marion Ave. Following the interment the family will be at the residence of Dean Dawson at 6172 Uplands Road, Covington, VA 24426.
