Lenwood Bowers "Sardy" Anderson, 80, of 905 Potts Creek Rd., died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Mr. Anderson was born October 1, 1935, at Oriskany in Botetourt County, the son of the late Max Anderson and Ruth Bowers Anderson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two infant children; three brothers Mont Ray Anderson, Charles "Corky" Anderson, and Boyd "Bo" Anderson and a sister Arlene "Sis" Anderson He served our great nation in the U. S. Air Force and later worked at Hercules Inc. until his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Triple Springs Hunt Club. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Judy Wright Anderson of Covington, a Daughter, Alicia Baber and her Husband, Robert, of Covington; three Grandchildren Matthew Stuple, Arlana West and Josh Miller all of Covington; three Great Grandchildren, Autumn West, Madeline West, and Charlie Markley all of Covington; one brother, Ralph Lewis "Pie" Anderson of Covington, and a number of nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes Mr. Anderson's body has been cremated. The funeral service will be held Thursday evening, March 3, 2016, at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev.
