Kenneth Ray Jones, 80, of 6719 Potts Creek Road, died, Saturday, February 10, 2018, at his home. Mr. Jones was born September 1, 1937, in Alleghany County a son of the late Okey Kenneth "Ted" Jones and Margie Irene Campbell Jones. He was employed by the Alleghany County School System as a bus driver for many years and also helped Leonard Nida with excavating work. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed riding horses. Surviving are three Sons, Kenny Jones and his Wife, Barbara, of Waynesboro, Larry Jones and his Wife, Andrea, of Covington and Gary Jones of Covington; two Daughters, Penny Cooke and her Husband, Horace, of Covington and Patty Lynn and her Husband, Chuck, of Stuarts Draft; two Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Brenda and Wilson Cochran and Dreama and Robbie Miller all of Covington; five grandchildren, Greg Jones and Michelle Catalan, Heather Jones, Amanda and John Littleton, Matt and Ivory Jones and Marshel Jones; seven great grandchildren, Breya, Kalik, Rylei, Lexi, Aiden, Jase and Deekin; and his special pets, Clyde, LuLu, Amy and Arthur. In accordance with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
