SUSAN KAUFFMAN Violet Susan Boyd Kauffman, 61, of Covington, and previously of Fincastle, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 17, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 7, 1949 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late John Samuel and Casoline Montgomery Boyd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mother, Vera Hodges Hayslett Boyd; a brother Walter Samuel Boyd and a grandson, Bryan Dunbar. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son and daughter in law, Keith and Michelle Dunbar; two grandchildren, Amber Dunbar and Alyssa Dunbar; one great grandson, Aiden Dunbar; two very special aunts, Bernice Young Rider and Opal Harris ; six sisters, Linda McGraw; Patricia Brogan and her husband, Norman; Joyce Wilson and her husband, Donnie; Denise Linkenhoker; Cathryn Dunbar and Virginia Harlow; four brothers, John Boyd; Steven Boyd; Gilbert Boyd; and Lewis Hayslett; her companion, Bobby Brown and his caring and loving children, Susan Nicely; Chad and Carrie Brown and their families ;numerous nieces, nephews, friends and devoted caregivers. According to her wishes, her body has been cremated. The family would like to thank Mountain Regional Hospice for their care and support.
