Barbara Lee Womack Thompson, 84, of 216 Gordon Street, died, Monday April 13 2015 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Mrs. Thompson was born March 25, 1931, in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late George G. Womack and Louise Cheatham Womack White, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, James Thompson, a grandson, Adam Kocheran and a sister Phyllis Collins. Mrs. Thompson was a retired Clerk from the former Kroger Inc. in Covington. She was a very active member of the Edgemont ARP Church. Barbara will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Kocheran and her husband Ray of Galena, OH and Sandra Thompson of Covington; one son, Randy Thompson of Covington; one granddaughter, Laura Connors and her husband, Kevin, of Worthington, OH; one great grandson Jack Connors; one brother, Robert Womack of VA and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday April 17, 2015 in the Edgemont ARP Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Donnie Bowker and assisted by the Rev. William M. Harris. The interment will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville, WV. The family will receive their friends for one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday.
