MARIE WADE Marie Smith Wade, 78, of 3120 South Pitzers Ridge Road died Saturday, July 26, 2008, in Alleghany Regional Hospital. Mrs. Wade was born April 7, 1930, in Covington a daughter of the late Bernard L. and Ida Webb Smith. She had retired in 1991 from the Materials Management Department of Alleghany Regional Hospital. She was the former Vice President of the local hospital workers union. She was a member of First Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Paul D. Wade, in 1979, her Son, Richard T. Wade, in 1997, a great granddaughter, Nikki Godbold, in 2006 and also by two sisters and three brothers. Surviving are two Daughters and Sons-in-law, Theresa and Charlie Wiley and Carolyn and Ozzie Hostetter all of Covington; seven grandchildren, Angela Godbold, Charles Wiley, Jr., Amanda Wade, Corren Wade, J. P. Hostetter, Wesley Hostetter and Austin Hostetter; two sisters, Wanda Turner and her husband, Raymond, of Kenova, WV, and Jeannie Goyette and her husband, Pat, of Milwaukee, WI. and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will be made in the Fletcher Chapel Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence of Carolyn and Ozzie Hostetter at 3120 South Pitzers Ridge Road.
