Gary Wayne Jennings, 71, of Clifton Forge, died Sunday, May 2, 2021, in Lewis -Gale Medical Center at Salem. Mr. Jennings was born June 10, 1949, in Alleghany County, the son of the late Meredith Jennings, Sr. and Betty Arrington Jennings Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Dawn W. Rickett and a brother, Meredith "Bugs" Jennings, Jr. Gary served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Gary worked at Jennings and Webb Trucking Co. as truck driver. Surviving his wife, Pat Martin Jennings, of Clifton Forge, a daughter, Michelle Shamblin, of Selma, a stepson, David A. Williams, of Covington, a stepdaughter, Kim Ambsuley, of West Palm Beach, Fl., two brothers, Timothy Jennings and Julie Leonard of Ash NC. and William Jennings of Covington; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A service will be held at later date. Memorial Contribution can be made in Mr. Jennings name to the Alleghany Humane Society; P.O.
