ARCHIE CRAWFORD Archie Franklin Crawford, 87, of 1700 Westwood Drive, died, Wednesday evening, November 24, 2010 at the Brian Center in Low Moor. He was born December 2, 1922 in Craig County, a son of the late Walter William and Ethel Craft Crawford. Mr. Crawford served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired in 1988 from Whiting Jamison Oil Company having been a Truck Driver and later an Office/Credit Manager for the company. In addition to his parents, Archie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Fleshman Crawford on November 1, 2010 ; three brothers, Arthur Crawford; Bertrand Crawford and Lenwood Crawford; two sisters, Loraine Wilmer and Nellie Robinson. Surviving are two sisters, Genny Hayslett and Nina Nicholson, both of Newport News. A number of nieces and nephews; two special friends, Percy Caldwell and Katie Armstrong, both of Covington and his little companion, Tiffney.
