Nannie McDaniel Hill, 92, of Clifton Forge, died, Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Lewis-Gale Alleghany Regional Hospital. She was born May 11, 1927, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Edgar M. McDaniel and Nannie Howard McDaniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first Husband, Charlie Rupe, her second Husband, Ovid O. Hill, a granddaughter, Angela Hogan, one brother and four sisters. Mrs. Hill retired in 1989 from Alleghany Apparel Inc. with seventeen years of service as final inspector. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel. United Methodist Church at Scott Hill. Surviving are her Daughter, Carrie McAllister, and her Husband, Gary, of Covington; her Son, Charles Rupe, and his Wife, Kathy, of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, David McAllister, Chris Rupe, Chasity Ellis and Duane Rupe and a number nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated. A funeral service will be at later date. Arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
