Larre Walton Cook, 84, died Thursday, October 25, 2018, at The Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs. Mrs. Cook was born January 26, 1934, in Greenbrier County, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Shue Walton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, John A. Cook, Sr.; two Daughters, Gloria Jean Cook and Peggy Brookman; two Sons, Albert Lee Cook and Joe Allen Cook ; one granddaughter, Amanda Lee Cook; four Sisters, Marie Wright, Mary Phillips, Bonnie Tucker and Iva Hoke and two Brothers, Charles Lacy Walton, Jr. and Robert A. Walton. She was a longtime member of the Mill Branch Church of God of Prophecy and was a former Sunday School teacher. Surviving are four Daughters, Virginia Shinault and her Husband, Earnest, Sharon Kirk, Shelia Cook and Diane Ward all of Covington; one Son, John A. Cook, Jr. of Covington; one Son-in-law, Ricky Brookman of Covington; one Sister, Francis Tucker, of Roanoke,; 17 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Brown officiating. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
