ALPHONSA WALDRON Alphonsa Richard Waldron, 74, of 712 Coleman Street, died, Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor. He was born August 27, 1936 in Covington, a son of the late Edward N. and Beatrice Brown Waldron. Mr. Waldron retired after 30 years as a clerk with United States Postal Service in Woodbridge. He was a member of the Wrightsville Baptist Church and was an avid bowler. In dddition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two bothers, Nathaniel Waldron and Gilbert Waldron and one sister, Bernice Dooley of Roanoke. Surviving are three brothers, Lewis Waldron and his wife, Brenda of Radford; Albert T. Waldron of Sacramento, CA and Delano Waldron of Covington ;one sister, Yvonne Young of Jersey City, NJ and several nieces and nephews. The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
