Kevin Wayne Paxton, 49, of 320 Rogers Road died Saturday, September 20, 2014. Mr. Paxton was born May 3, 1965, in Alleghany County a son of Wendell "Popeye" and Brenda Armentrout Paxton of Covington. He was employed by Total Plant Maintenance at the MeadWestvaco Extruder Plant in Low Moor. Kevin was a member of the Covington Lodge #610, Loyal Order of Moose; the National Rifle Association; the Alleghany Highlands Sportsmens Club; the Bennett Run Hunt Club and the One Shot Hunt Club. Surviving in addition to his parents, are his Wife, Donna Kimberlin Paxton of Covington; his Daughter Courtney Paxton and Chris Kinsey of Covington; his son, Justin Paxton and his friend Joe Barbarsky of Los Angeles, CA; his brother, Todd Paxton and his wife, Shannon, of Covington; his Maternal Grandmother, Frances Armentrout, of Lenoir, NC; his niece, Amber Paxton; his great nephew, Landon Paxton, his extended family, hunting buddies and a host of friends. In accordance with his wishes, Kevin's body has been cremated. The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Leatherman officiating assisted by the Rev. David Brown. Internment of his ashes will be made in Hokes Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive their friends from 1:30 PM until service time Thursday at Arritt Funeral Home.
