Grace Daniels Reynolds, 101, of Covington, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Brian Center Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in Low Moor.
Mrs. Reynolds was born February 24, 1922, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Walter I. Daniels and Mary Estelle Megginson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Vernell Reynolds in 2008; a grandson, Derrick Belton; two sisters and one brother.
Grace was an active member of the Historic First Baptist Church in Covington until her health began to fail. She cherished praising the word and loved working in the church, serving on several committees. Grace loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, but most of all, spending time with family. She was a loving, caring woman and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Jewell Belton of White plains, NY, and Vernon Merritt of Louisburg, NC; five grandchildren, Twyla Vega, Marsha Belton, Taifa Merritt, Tashay Merritt, and Terrance Reynolds; four great-grandchildren including Teloria Vega, Marcus Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 12:00 PM in the Historic First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rosetta Stewart officiating. The family will receive their friends from 11:00 AM until service time at the church.
Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family asks that those attending the service abide by COVID-19 protocols and wear a mask as able.

My heart goes out to the family. I had the wonderful opportunity of teaching Afton and her mother and father. Afton was a sweet young lady and always a joy with a smile on her face. I am so sorry for the whole family! Please accept my sympathy, to you all.
