PAUL MURPHY Paul Lee Murphy, 85, of 526 Commercial Avenue, Clifton Forge, died, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Lewis Gale-Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor. He was born May 26, 1925 in Alleghany County, a son of the late James Murphy and Zella Brooks Murphy. Mr. Murphy served with the United States Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of Wrightsville Baptist Church in Covington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. Surviving are one sister, Mabel Jordan of Covington; a number of nieces and nephews including nephew, Michael Carroll of Clifton Forge and niece and caretaker, Cathy Carroll of Covington and a cousin, Carl Robison of Columbus, Ohio. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects anytime at Arritt Funeral Home and the family will receive their friends one hour prior to service time at Arritt Funeral Home on Saturday.
