BEN WILSON Benjamin Lewis Wilson, 81, of 905 Potts Creek Road died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at his home. Mr. Wilson was born November 14, 1926, in Alleghany County a son of the late Benjamin and Cora Jamison Wilson. He was an employee of the former Industrial Rayon Corp in Covington and had retired in 1981 as a maintenance supervisor for Hercules, Inc. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Wife, Mildred Childs Wilson, in 2001; by a Son, Michael Wilson, in 1994; by a granddaughter, Millie Wilson, in January of this year, and also by two brothers and five sisters. Surviving are his Son, Steven W. Wilson of Pembroke; a Daughter-in-law, Marie Wilson of Covington; one sister, Inez Rochon, of Covington and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield officiating. Entombment will be made in the Alleghany Memorial Park Mausoleum. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Barton, Ray Thacker, Mike Andrews, Larry Deacon, Curly Smith, Jackie Butler. Friends may pay their respects at anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
