Robert Lacy "Baldy" Tucker, Sr., 62, of 600 Montgomery Knob Road died Saturday, July 29, 2017, in Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital at Low Moor. Mr. Tucker was born June 30, 1955, in Alleghany County a son of Raymond C. "Jim" Tucker, Sr. and Nadine Bailey Tucker of Covington. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Marie Persinger Tucker, in 2006. Baldy had retired as a machine operator for D.D Kerns Construction Company after a number of years with the company. He was a member of Mountain Valley United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his parents are two Sons, Robert L. "Ball" Tucker, Jr. and his Wife, April, and Brian Tucker and his Wife, Heather, all of Covington; one Daughter, Sarah Brinkley and her Husband Josh, of Covington; grandchildren, Austin Tucker, Kristen Tucker, Kayleigh Tucker, Kaitlyn Tucker, Nathan Tucker, Kyler Brinkley and L.J. Brinkley; one Brother, Raymond C. Tucker, Jr. of Covington; three Sisters, Rose "Boo" and Randy Selleck, Helen "Sister" and Charlie Selleck, and Becky and Ray Richardson all of Covington and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon, August 1, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. David Brown officiating assisted by the Rev. Lee Dotson. Interment will be made in the Humphries Cemetery. The family will receive their friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times at Robert Tucker Jr.'s residence at 6707 Bens Run Road.
