Conrad Hamilton Wiersteiner, 72, of 331 E. Gordon Street, died, Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 24, 1938 in Charleston, West Virginia a son of the late Richard A. and Elizabeth Beard Wiersteiner. Mr. Wiersteiner served with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Meadwestvaco as an electrician after 42 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Conrad was preceded in death by an infant son, David Wiersteiner. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Yvonne Cordova Wiersteiner of Covington; four sons, Richard Wiersteiner and his wife Katie of Manassas; Conrad Wiersteiner and his wife Mitzi of Jacksonville, FL; Karl Wiersteiner and Ronda Bowles of Covington; and Robert Wiersteiner and his wife, Mel, of Australia; two daughters, Estelle Scott and her husband Bud of Covington and Amanda Fierro of Denver, CO; grandchildren; Scottie and Amanda Scott; Steven Scott; Cassie and Justin Campbell; Brooke Scott and Jeremy Cash, all of Covington; Robert Wiersteiner ; Christopher Wiersteiner and Abby Wiersteiner all of Florida; Ben Ness, Diana Ness and Jason Wiersteiner all of Manassas; Erik Wiersteiner of Roanoke; Sara Wiersteiner; Logan Wiersteiner; Noah Wiersteiner all of Bedford; David Wiersteiner and Tyler Wiersteiner, both of Covington and Connor Wiersteiner of Australia; great grandchildren, Emma Scott. Trinity Scott, Taylor Scott, Victoria Campbell and Aden Cash all of Covington; one sister, Elizabeth Williams of Salem; one brother, S.R. Wiersteiner and his wife Kitsa of Wilmington, NC and several nieces and nephews. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Mountain Regional Hospice for the care that was given to Mr. Wiersteiner.
