LYNWOOD LUCKETT Lynwood Withrow Luckett, 48, of 911 North Alleghany Avenue died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem. Mr. Luckett was born December 6, 1960, in Covington a son of the late George and Lucille Graves Luckett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two nephews, Danny Edwards and Clevester Edwards, III. Lynwood was an active member of the Pine Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed walking, cooking and taking care of his Mother and his nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his joking and making people laugh. Surviving are four Sisters, Marie Luckett, Debbie Jeter and her husband, Lester, and Freda Jeter and her husband, Robert, all of Covington and Julie Wiley and her husband Walter, of Troutville; one brother, George Luckett, Jr. and his wife, Artra, of Austin, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces , great nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon, March 23, 2009, at 3:00 PM in the Pine Street Baptist Church with the Rev Dr Thomas S. Simmons officiating. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
