IDA CROWDER Ida Crowder Crowder, 87, of 8400 Mill Branch Road, died, Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge. She was born February 20, 1921 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late George Washington Crowder and May Humphries Crowder. Mrs. Crowder was a member of Pinnell Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 35 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Dewey Crowder in July of 1989 and also by seven sisters and one brother. Surviving are her son, Patrick D. Crowder of Newport News and a number of nieces and nephews. The graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 6, 2008 at Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home.
