Bernice Hall Crawford, 95, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Crawford was born April 26, 1927 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Charles P. Hall and Letcher Love Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malkcom C. Crawford on October 17, 2022 and by twelve brothers and sisters. Bernice was a member of the Edgemont Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved cooking and sewing. Surviving are her son, Steven Crawford and wife Kimmi of Covington; two grandchildren, Joseph A. Crawford (Jennie) of Fincastle and Amanda Hite (Kris) of Blacksburg; four grandchildren, Dax Crawford, Ledger Crawford, Atlas Hite and Bennett Hite. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00PM, in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. James MacDougall officiating. The interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park The family will receive their friends one hour before service. Active pallbearers will be Joey Crawford, Kris Hite, Gene Hinton, Billy Harrison, Bobby Harrison and Don Hampton. Arrangements are being handle by Arritt Funeral Home.
