ED WILLIAMS
Herbert Edward Williams, , Sr. 78, of 1801 Gravel Ridge Road, died, Monday, September 28, 2009 at his residence.
He was born July 11, 1931 in Washington, DC, a son of the late William Oscar and Helen Turner Williams.
Mr. Williams served with the United States Navy. He was a Photographer and owned his studio in Miami, FL for over 40 years, He was a member of the Gideon's Society, Civitans Club of Homestead, FL and the Professional Photography Guild of Florida; He was a member of First Christian Church where served as an Elder and a Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Carter Williams in 2007.
Surviving are his son and daughter in law, Herbert E. "Eddie" and Shirley Williams of Covington; a daughter and son in law, Debra and Les Barron of Covington; four grandchildren, Trevor Barron; Brooke Barron; Katie Williams and Jacob Williams two brothers, Robert Williams and his wife Cheryl of Richmond and Thomas Williams and his wife Elaine of California.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 Saturday , October 3, 2009 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.
The interment will be made in the Carter Cemetery on Snake Run.
Friends may pay their respects anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
