John Herbert "Jack" Posten, Jr., 53, of 714 Dunbrack Road, died, Thursday, July 3, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 28, 1954 at Wesibadden, Germany, the son of Colonel John H. Posten, Sr. (RET) of Highland House and the late Margaret Christian Posten. Jack served with the United States Marines, entering at the age of 17. He was the owner of the former Movie Store in Covington and worked with his father at the McDonald's Restaurant in Covington. In addition to his father he is survived by his daughter and a son-in-law, Heather and Robert Hughes of Henderson, NC and his son, John H. Posten III of Fairfax. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. The memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Sunday , July 6, 2008 at the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Merrell and the Rev. Billy Price officiating. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
