WITHROW HUBBARD Withrow Sutton Hubbard, Jr., 81, of 5016 Indian Draft Road died Monday night, August 23, 2010, in Alleghany Regional Hospital. Mr. Hubbard was born January 22, 1929, in Alleghany County a son of the late Withrow S. Hubbard, Sr. and Sara Byer Hubbard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Hubbard and two sisters, Rachel Redman and Beulah Bostic. He was a veteran with the United States Army. He was an employee of the former Industrial Rayon Corp in Covington and retired from Hercules, Inc. in 1989 after 27 years with the company. He was a member of the Johnson Creek Presbyterian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving are his wife of years, Shirley Redman Hubbard, of Covington; five Sons and Daughters-in-law, Greg and Susan Hubbard, Bobby and Lillian Hubbard, and Tommy and Jennifer Hubbard all of Covington, Carlos and Gail Hubbard of Charlottesville and William and Amy Hubbard of Caldwell, WV; one Daughter and Son-in-law, Lisa and Barry Fridley of Fincastle; eleven grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; two Sisters, Shirley Vinesett of Hopewell and Juanita Ford of Connecticutt and a number of nieces and nephews. Entombment will be made in the Alleghany Memorial Park Mausoleum .
