Alice Miller "Kitten" Tingler, 69, of 6715 Potts Creek Road, died Wednesday July 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born June 3, 1947 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Raymond Odie Miller and Roxie May Wolfe Miller. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Tingler in 1992 and also by a brother, Marvin Tingler and a brother-in-law, Marshall Hadden. Mrs. Tingler was a machine operator with the former Halmode, Inc. She was an avid Redskins fan. Surviving are three sons, Richard E. Tingler and Laura Wilson; Ronnie L. Tingler; Raymond L. Tingler, all of Covington; one daughter, Rhonda Martin of Roanoke; Grandchildren, Richard F. and Trysta Tingler; Shawn and Shantell Tingler; R.J. Tingler; Austin Evans; Darrian Tucker and Nick Tingler; four great grandchildren; one brother Reginald “Buddy” Miller of Lynchburg; four sisters, Margaret and Jimmy Jeffries of Iron Gate; Janet Isley and Dale Terry of Covington; Juanite Hedden of Winston-Salem, NC and Jackie Tingler of Brunswick, MD; friends, Joyce Kilmer, Melanie Hoover, Larry Jones and Gary Jones, all of Covington and a number of nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. The family will receive their friends at the residence at 6715 Potts Creek Rd., Covington, VA 24426 anytime.
