John Lawrence Rodenizer, 66, 413 W. Prospect Street, died, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 30, 1947 in Covington, a son of the late Charles J. and Myrtle Lytle Rodenizer. Lawrence was a self employed Dry Wall Contractor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son, Curtis W. Rodenizer and his wife Chris of Maryland; one grandson, Aaron Rodenizer of Maryland; one brother, Wayne Rodenizer and his wife Gwen of Hot Springs; a brother-in law and care taker, Emmett Simmons of Covington; several nieces and nephews, including Carl and Teresa Simmons of Covington and Kathy and Shane Mentz; Teresa K. and Billy Gibson, all of Covington and Randy and Kim Simmons of Vinton; one great nephew, Harry Lee Simmons of Covington. His body has been cremated. The memorial service will be held Saturday November 15, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.
