Maude Marie Wolfe Brookman, 80, of 10681 Potts Creek Rd., died, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at her son's home in Laurel, MD. She was born March 30, 1936 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Floyd and Virgie Fridley Wolfe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Brookman in 1995; one sister Lillian Redman and three brothers, Edward Wolfe, Joe Wolfe and Ronnie Wolfe. Surviving are her daughter Charlene Purkey of Covington; her five sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Ray and Ruth Brookman of Laurel, MD; William and Mamie Brookman of Covington; Charles and Donna Brookman of Baltimore, MD; Robert W. and Mary Brookman of Odenton, MD and Kenneth and Darlene Brookman of Paint Bank; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary pearl DuVall and her husband James and Nancy Wolfe, all of Covington; two brothers, Donnie Wolfe and Floyd Wolfe, both of Covington and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Earwood officiating. The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
