Barbara Harris Crawford, 70, of 337 E. Prospect Street , died, this morning , Thursday February 5, 2009 at the Brian Center in Low Moor. She was born April 19, 1938 in Springwood , Virginia. Mrs. Crawford was a former volunteer with the Jackson River Red Cross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Crawford, Sr. in 2001. Surviving are her two daughters, Tonya Smith and her husband, Kirk and Deborah Crawford , all of Clifton Forge ; one son, Gene Crawford, Jr. of Covington ; four grandchildren, Tenashia McKnight and Niem Coles, both of Covington; Keyana Smith and Kirk Smith, Jr., both of Clifton Forge. The funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Haskins officiating. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 8;00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter Tonya and Kirk Smith at 1020 Rose Street , Clifton Forge, VA.
