LONNIE PERSINGER Lonnie Lee Persinger, 75, of 6805 Bens Run Road died Friday, February 7, 2014 in Salem. Mr. Persinger was born May 13, 1938, in Alleghany County a son of the late William Henry and Mamie Tucker Persinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the United States Army. Surviving are Brenda Persinger of Salem; three Sons and Daughters - in-law; Rodney and Rebecca Persinger of Pembroke, David and Karen Crouch of Salem and Richard and Janice Crouch of Roanoke; one Daughter and Son-in-law, Derinda and Mark Higgs of Pearisburg; several grandchildren; three Brothers, Leonard Persinger and his wife Bertie, David Persinger and his wife, Rachel, and Walter Persinger, all of Covington; three sisters, Corrine Fralie of Utah, Lorrine Perkins of Vinton and Jane Beadles of Roanoke; and a number of nieces and nephews.
