LOUISE JAMISON Louise Young Jamison, 99, of West Melbourne, FL , formerly of Covington, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, in the Melbourne Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Jamison was born May 23, 1912, in Botetourt County a daughter of the late William Andrew and Mary Marie Sizer Young. She was a longtime member of Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, the Theta Owens Sunday School Class and the Berean Bible Class of the church. She was a former member of the Covington Womans Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Howard P. Jamison, in 1973, and also by her Brother, Hunter L. Young. Surviving are her Daughter and Son-in-law, Mary Carolyn and Burton Gwinn of West Melbourne, FL; her granddaughter, Cathy Martin and her husband, Michael, of Palm Bay, FL; her great grandson, Mason O. Martin, of Palm Bay, FL; her sister, Ruth V. Young of Roanoke; her sister-in-law, Helen Scott of Covington; her brother-in-law, Ray Jamison and his wife, Lyona, of Roanoke; a special friend, Virginia Sizemore, of Covington and a number of young people in the area who affectionately referred to her as "Granny J". Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. Memorial Information The family suggests that donations in Mrs. Jamison's name be made to the Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
