CARL ROBINSON Carl Richard Robinson, 87, of 425 W. Indian Valley Road, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor. He was born September 13, 1925, in Covington a son of the late Lonnie A. and Mildred Lucille Craft Robinson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Wife, Vaughnie Whitmer Robinson in 2004 and also by a brother Thurman Robinson. Carl was a veteran of World War II in the U.S.Army serving in the European Theater. He had retired from the U.S.Postal Service after many years as a letter carrier at the Covington Post Office. He was a member and Deacon of the Edgemont Presbyterian Church and was a former Treasurer of the church. Surviving are his Daughter and Son-in-law, Janet and David White of Covington; his granddaughter, Danielle White of Covington; one brother, Harold Robinson of Covington; two sisters, Alma Gillespie and Laura Gallew, both of Covington and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial Information The family suggests that donations in Mr. Robinson's name be made to the Edgemont Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
