Mary Jane Walton Phillips, 77, of 7820 Ogles Creek Road, died, Sunday April 10, 2016 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV. She was born July 8, 1938 in Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Jessie Shue Walton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, David E. Phillips and Karen J. Phillips ; one grandson, Dalton Phillip; three sisters, Bonnie Tucker; Iva Hoke and Marie Wright and also two brothers, Charles Walton and Robert Walton. Mrs. Phillips was Secretary/Treasurer for Phillips Supply. She was member of Ogles Creek Baptist Church. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Robert E. "Bud" Phillips of Covington; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Angela Phillips; Jimmy and Wendy Phillips; William and Susan Phillips all of Covington; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Sizer; Kathy and Gary Curry; Lorraine May and Allen Smith and Sandy and Greg Fox, all of Covington; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sister, Frances Tucker and Virginia Cook, both of Covington and a number of nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated. The Funeral service will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shorty Wolfe officiating.
