JAMES THOMPSON James Edward Thompson, 82, of 223 Sherry May Street died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Highland House in Clifton Forge. Mr. Thompson was born July 15, 1929, in Westernport, MD, a son of the late John and Marie Gillespie Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in deathby one brother and two sisters. He was retired from the NewPage Papermill in Luke, MD, and was a veteran of the Korean War with the U.S.Army. Surviving are his Wife, Phyllis Corbin Thompson, of Covington; his Daughter and Son-in-law, Cynthia and David Sites of Covington; his Son, James Thompson, Jr. of Westernport, MD, and two grandsons, Alan Sites and Eric Sites, both of Covington.
