Robert Roscoe Campbell Jr., 86 of 1304 Potts Creek Rd., died, Monday May 16, 2022, at the Brian Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Low Moor. Mr. Campbell was born on July 11, 1935, in Alleghany County the son of the late Robert R. Campbell Sr. and Beulah Atkins Campbell. He retired after 41 years from Westvaco in the Bleach Department. He was a member of the Parrish Court United Methodist Church where he was part of the Mens Fellowship and Choir. He was a charter member of the Boiling Spring Fire and Rescue, and with the Virginia National Guard. He enjoyed camping as well as listen to music. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Nellie Wright Campbell of Covington; two daughters and son in laws Cheryl Dressler and husband Richard and Kathy Black and husband David all of Covington; a son and daughter in law Randall Campbell and wife Sherri of Gap Mills, WV; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Monday May 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Kropff officiating. The family will receive their friends on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home. The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial donations be made in Mr. Campbells name to the Parrish Court UMC at 2343 S. Carpenter Dr. Covington, VA 24426 or the Boiling Spring Fire & Rescue at 5407 Potts Creek Rd.
