Andrea Ellen Shiflett, 38, of 1200 Cherokee Trail, died, Tuesday December 14, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Shiflett was born December 10, 1983, in Alleghany County a daughter of Victor Shinault and wife Tina and Tiney Rose and husband Ronnie. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Herman Thompson and Ruby Sellers Arrington; her paternal grandparents Raymond and Elizabeth Shinault; her aunt Evelyn Wilson; her uncle daddy as she called him James Shinault; and a special friend Merrell Witt. She was a PCA for AmeriCares. She loved spending time with her little girl taking her eating and riding around with her and taking care of her niece and nephews. She loved animals and her family. Cheryl Lowery Lockhart, 80, of Covington, died Monday, December 13, 2021, at Lewis-Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor. Mrs. Lockhart was born June 28, 1941, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Jesse James and Gertrude Reynolds Lowery. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Stuart Samuel Lowery and James Jay Lowery. Cheryl was a member of Highland Chapel Christian Church and served as church pianist. She was a teacher for over 30 years in the Alleghany County Public School system. In retirement, Mrs. Lockhart volunteered at Lewis-Gale Alleghany Hospital. Over the years, she sang and played piano at countless weddings and funerals. She was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed watching Nascar Races. Reginald Leroy Wallace, 66, of 338 E. Pine St., died, Monday December 13, 2021, at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation. Mr. Wallace was born February 14, 1955, in Covington a son of the late Hollis L. and Dorothy Chambers Wallace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Rodney Wallace. He was a truck driver for 25 years with the food service industry in Baltimore and was a member of the Local Union # 355. Adelina Villaflor Agbo, 91, of 101 E. Prospect St., died, Saturday December 11, 2021, in Lewis-Gale Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor. Mrs. Agbo was born September 27, 1930, in Manila, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Leonardo and Pacita Arambulo Villaflor. In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by three brothers. Mrs. Agbo was member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she very active with her church. Surviving are five daughters Analisa Agbo, and Sally Agbo both of Covington, Mayetth Agbo of Tokyo, Japan, Dorie Abarico of Canada, and Celia Agbo of Philippines; three sons Joe Agbo and Arturo Agbo of Covington, Leo Agbo of Maryland; seventeen grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Charles Harvey Smith, 70, of 700 Mt Pleasant Dr., died, Friday December 10, 2021. Mr. Smith was born July 9, 1951, in Alleghany County, a son of the late Eugene Harvey and Violet Humphries Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Ruby Jane Jones; four brothers: Edward Wayne Smith, Russell Eugene Smith, Robert Lee Smith, and Donald Ray Persinger. He was a truck driver for Byer, Harmon, and Johnson. He was baptized and attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and was an avid outdoorsman. Diana Bennett Propps, 75, of 210 Cline Meadow Rd., died, Friday December 10, 2021, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Low Moor. Mrs. Propps was born July 30, 1946, in Ronceverte, WV a daughter of the late Echols A. and Lilly Madge Holliday Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Aaron M. Roger Dale Dawson, 71, of 512 Mt. Pleasant Dr., died, Thursday December 9, 2021, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Mr. Dawson was born December 25, 1949, in Alleghany County a son of the late Jesse William and Clara Wolfe Dawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sally Kitt Dawson; two sisters Nadine Wilhelm and Natalie Cheatham; one brother Delnar Dawson; a nephew Steven Dawson. He had worked as a truck driver for WestRock and had attended Midway Community Christian Church in Low Moor. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. Surviving are two sisters Jackie Yetter of Covington and Shirley Wheeler of Amherst; and a number of nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at a later date. William Russell "Willie" Bowles, 63, of Covington, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Lewis-Gale Alleghany in Low Moor. Willie was born September 11, 1958, in Oak Hill, Ohio, a son of the late George William and Virginia Morris Bowles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip "Slim" Bowles in 1981. Mr. Bowles served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a pipefitter and crane operator for D.D. Kerns Construction and Waco, Inc for many years. In his spare time, Willie loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed attending their recitals and ballgames. He loved kayaking and was an avid golfer. He was a lifelong Ohio sports fan, cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Browns. Willie was also a NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. Janice Cardarelli Moles, 63, of 2410 Grafton St., Clifton Forge, died, Saturday December 4, 2021, at Lewis Gale Alleghany in Low Moor. Mrs. Moles was born February 28, 1958, in Red Bank, NJ a daughter of the late George and Dorothy Vanpelt Cardarelli. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Moles and a sister Linda Patrick. She loved to be around her family. In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated. Gary Alvin Fisher, 68, of 548 W. Jackson St., died, Wednesday December 1, 2021, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Fisher was born April 9, 1953, in Alleghany County a son of the late Marshall B. and Esther Gaines Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Nobs Fisher in 2019; a daughter Stephanie Fisher; two sisters, Virginia Tingler and Shirley Rodgers; and two brothers, Marshall Fisher and William Fisher. In 2019 he retired after more than 30 years from WestRock. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a retired member of the Covington First Aid as well as a CPR instructor. He was an avid golfer.
