Helen Hinkle Wolfe, 78, of 6804 Potts Creek Road died Monday, October 9, 2017, in Pasadena, Maryland. Mrs. Wolfe was born July 9, 1939, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Edna Kimberlin Hinkle Armentrout and Frederick Marion Armentrout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Gerald L. Wolfe, in 2016 and also by seven sisters and brothers. Surviving are two Daughters, Carolyn "Susie" Hammer and her Husband, Bill, of Shenandoah and Shannon Wolfe-Critchley and her Husband, David, of Jessup, MD; one Son, Gerald Lee Wolfe and his Wife, Kimberley, of Pasadena, MD; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; one Brother, Robert "Billy" Hinkle and his Wife, Barbie, of Covington and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 13, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Martin officiating. Interment will be made in Lone Star Cemetery. Margaret Kimberlin Fridley, 83, formerly of Rich Patch, died Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Alleghany Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge. Mrs. Fridley was born January 21, 1934, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Arthur Sullivan and Ruby Humphries Kimberlin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Husband, Jack Fridley who was the love of her life for 64 years , a sister, Erma Lee Forbes and a brother, Arthur S. "Butch" Kimberlin, Jr. Margaret was a loving Mother. She as a woman of great faith and would read her Bible daily. She had been an active member of Cliffdale Christian Church. She loved to cook and garden. Mrs. Fridley especially enjoyed spending time with her family. One of her favorite things was feeding the birds in the several feeders that she had in her yard. James William "Bill" Railey, Jr., 73, of 8104 Dunlap Creek Road died Friday, October 6, 2017, at his home. Mr. Railey was born July 30, 1944, in Alleghany County a son of the late James W. Railey, Sr. and Gladys Knighton Railey. Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam War Era with the U.S. Army and retired after 25 years from the Army National Guard with the rank of Master Sergeant. He retired from the Mead Westvaco Low Moor Converting Plant in 2009 after 25 years with MWV. He was a Life Member of the Dunlap Volunteer Fire Department serving for over 25 years. He was a longtime member of Mallow Presbyterian Church where he was active with the Men of Missions. Shirley Watson Post, 84, of 816 Oneida Trail died Thursday, October 5, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Post was born January 12, 1933, in Covington a daughter of the late Burlen T. Watson and Anna Bradley Watson Andrews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles H. Linda T. May, 72, of Hot Springs passed away at Lewis Gale Medical Center on Monday, October 2, 2017. She was born on January 21, 1945 and was married to Tommy May, Jr. for 53 years. She worked in the Homestead Dining Room and the Cascade Inn until she retired in 1996. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Robert J. and Ina Wolf Trimble, and brother Bobby Trimble and his wife Charlotte. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Tommy May Jr., of Hot Springs; daughter Pamela May Hensley and husband Tony, of Hot Springs; son Tim May and wife Twila, of Hot Springs; grandchildren Meagan May, of Floyd, VA, Michael Brandon May, of Covington, VA, and Amber May, of Hot Springs; and many close neighbors, friends and extended family. Mr. Tolley was born December 11, 1939, at Goshen in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Harvey and Zelda Tinsley Tolley. Allen Watts Taylor,83 of Covington and formerly of Fredericksburg, went to be with the Lord Friday September 29, 2017 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor. He was born March 21, 1934 in Lynchburg, VA, a son of the late Leonard and Honor Belle Taylor Smoot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Gassaway Taylor in 1981, three brothers, two sisters and a special friend Virginia Ann Freeman. James Marshall Wright, 89 of Moss Run, entered the gates of heaven September 26, 2017 with his immediate family at his bedside Mr. Wright was born May 19, 1928 in Alleghany County the son of the Late Dolphus and Nannie Belle Wright. There were eleven siblings in Mr. Wright's family; preceding him in death were Brothers, Walter Wright, Donald Wright, Daniel Wright, Lawrence Wright, Russell Wilson, Sisters Jewell Tingler and Lucille Givens and sister-in-law Velda Farmer. He retired from Hercules after 28 years of service. Mr. Wright was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of Grace Brethren Church.
