Lynuell Keith Prewitt, of 209 Ridgewood Circle, Covington, VA went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2018 after an extended illness. He was 76. Mr. Prewitt was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Mr. Prewitt was born May 23rd, 1942, in Beckley, WV, the son of the late Finley and Pearl Prewitt Prewitt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Warren Prewitt. After high school, Keith joined the United States Air Force and served for four years, specializing in electronics. After the service, he was employed as a computer programmer for MeadWestvaco in Covington, VA for 42 years. After retirement, Keith developed a love for woodworking; he set up shop in his garage and built numerous pieces of furniture. For years, he owned only Chevrolets, once including a red Corvette convertible; he had previously been a member of a Corvette Club. Sharon Leanne Mackey, 44, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada died there Thursday, October 24, 2018. She was born October 6, 1974, a daughter of Jeannie Wright Mackey Carpenter of Covington and the late Frank H. Mackey, Jr. Sharon was a Registered Nurse for many years at several locations. Surviving in addition to her Mother are her Husband, Nick Pasnick, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; her Step-Father, Leo Carpenter, of Covington; her Sister, Katherine Mackey, and Richard Johnson of Roanoke. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 6:oo PM, November 2, 2018, in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Lamont "Pinky" McKoy, 40, of Covington died, October 20, 2018 as a result of automobile accident. Mr. McKoy was born December 28, 1977 in Mineola, New York the son of the late George E. McKoy and Rachel E. Nalley. He was raised in White Sulphur Springs, WV until he later moved to Covington where he met and married his wife Frances Harless McKoy. They had a son Jacobi Aveon McKoy. He was an amazing husband and doting father .He was a self-employed contractor who did many odd jobs for people of the community. Ronald Andrew Lowen, 75, of 308 Riverview Drive died Thursday, October 18, 2018, in the Brian Center Nursing Home at Low Moor. Mr. Lowen was born August 24, 1943, in Covington a son of the late Oscar A. Lowen and Dorothy Henderson Lowen Crawford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Son, David Andrew Lowen in 1994. He had retired in 2005 from the Coors Brewing Company in Elkton. Surviving are two Sons, Jason Lowen of Covington, VA. and Anthony Lowen and his Wife, Angel, of Covington, GA; his Step-Daughter, Christi Foss, and her Husband, Tom, of Roanoke; his Step Son, Daniel Pillow, and his Wife, Eileen, of Blacksburg; his Sister, Carolyn Blenner, and her Husband, Bob; of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mary Bowen Hosey, 89, of 100 Nicholas Dr. Clifton Forge, died, Tuesday October 16, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Hosey was born April 8, 1929 in Alleghany Co. the daughter of the late Okal Bowen and Kizzy Gaines Bowen. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by Kenneth K Hosey in 2005, four daughters Edith May, Teresa Hosey, and Letha Hosey and Christine Irvine, a sister Christine Bowen, three brothers Frank Bowen, Percy Bowen, and King Saunders. She was a member of the Church of New Beginnings in Low Moor. Surviving are her four sons Keith Hosey, and wife Darlene of Clifton Forge, Mike Hosey and wife Adah of Clifton Forge, George Hosey and wife Becky of Covington, and Wendell Hosey of Clifton Forge, three daughters Pearl Tucker and husband Darrell, Linda Kress and Isabell Bradley all of Covington, 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. With tears in our eyes we have a celebration to announce. After serving his Lord for many years at his earthly home, Perry Alvin Wiseman has crossed the boundary to his heavenly home. His last few years were tuff at times but with that smile of his you couldn't tell. That smile will remain in the memories of his family and friends he leaves behind. He is preceded in death by one sister Crystal Huffman, four brothers John Wiseman, Howard Wiseman, Raymond Wiseman, and Denver Wiseman. He will be sadly missed. Mr. Wiseman was born in Summers County, WV the son of the late Perry Alexander Wiseman and Margaret Ann Thompson Wiseman. Perry was a veteran of the Korean War with the United States Air Force. He retired as a machine operator for the former Hercules INC. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a member of the "Freedom Aires" quartet. Deborah Lee Graham Morgan, 60, of Ogles Creek Road, died, Wednesday, October 10, 2018, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born March 7, 1958, in Alleghany County a daughter of John William Graham, Sr. of Covington and the late Frances Mae Montgomery Graham. Debbie was a restorative aide at the Brian Center Nursing Home in Low Moor for several years where she loved caring for the patients and sharing laughs with her co-workers. She was also a proud supporter to many organizations. She enjoyed gardening, loved holidays, spending her summer on vacation with family, and attending her graddaughters school events. She was a very caring, supportive, loving, and fun filled lady. She always knew how to make you laugh. But most of all, Debbie was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Martha West Downey, 75, of 5005 Houston Circle, died Friday October 5, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Downey was born August 16, 1943 in Beckley, WV the daughter of the late Wilber and Iris Gay West. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Mickey Arnott. Martha worked as an operator for the former CFW Telephone Company, as well as she attended Covington Bible Church and was part of the bible group. She loved her dogs. James Bertrand "Bert" Lockhart, 81, of 1900 Mallow Road died Wednesday morning, September 26, 2018, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Mr. Lockhart was born September 17, 1937, in Alleghany County a son of the late Willie Clyde and Beulah May Redman Lockhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Mary Walton Lockhart in 2005, and by his Brother, Welford Lockhart and a Sister, Janice Wiseman. He had retired from Hammond-Mitchell Construction Company. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a former member of the Virginia National Guard. Donald was a former electrician with Hercules Inc. and had retired as an installer for the former CFW Telephone Company. He was a member of First Christian Church where he participated in missionary work.
