Robert Joseph "Bobby" Jones, Jr., 72, of 214 E. Gray Street, died, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at The Woodlands Nursing Home in Clifton Forge.
He was born March 24, 1946 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Robert Jones, Sr. and Helen Marie Thacker Jones.
Bobby graduated from the West Virginia University with a Master Degree in English. He was self-employed lawn care service in the Highlands and supplied live bait to area retailers for fishing.
Bobby coached Little League Baseball and also coached Football and Basketball. He was a Pittsburg Steelers and West Virginia University Fan. He was very passionate about gardening and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Armielda Anderson "Millie" Jones of Covington; his son, Bailey Matthew Jones of Covington; his daughter, Jennifer Jones of Covington; his sister in law, Cheryl Persinger and her husband Robert of Covington; nieces and nephews and a special friend, Larry Andrews.

Agnes Kegley Arritt, 88, died, August 10, 2018 at The Carrington Place in Daleville. Mrs. Arritt was born August 22, 1929 in Wytheville, a daughter of the late John Millard Kegley and Carl Smelser Kegley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert B. Arritt, Sr. in 2008; an infant granddaughter, Tara Diane Arritt; two sisters and 6 brothers. Agnes worked for a time at the Industrial Rayon until the birth of her children, at which time she focused caring for her growing family. After her children were grown, she continued caring for others by serving as a CNA in various capacities. She was a longtime member of McAllister Presbyterian Church in Covington and had been attending Green Ridge Presbyterian Church in Roanoke in her later years. Garland Wayne "Gary" Felty, 54, of 2902 Jackson River Road, died, Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Lewis Gale-Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.
Mr. Felty was born August 13, 1963, in Roanoke a son of Virginia C. "Jenny" Felty, of Covington and the late Garland Preston "Pete" Felty. In addition to his Father, he was preceded in death by his Father-in-law, Matthew Walsh.
He had retired as an Activity Therapy Associate at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center.
He was an avid bass fisherman, loved to play cards, watch and play lacrosse, big fan of VA teams; the Washington Capitals, and the Dallas Cowboys, loved Lexington and the Civil War history, and was a food enthusiast.

David Allen Wolfe, 61, of Covington died Monday, August 6, 2018, at Alleghany Health and Rehab in Clifton Forge. Mr. Wolfe was born November 5, 1956, in Bath County a son of Frankie Wolfe of Warm Springs and Claudia Wolfe of Stuarts Draft. He had retired from Westrock, Inc. in 2012 as an Operator on #1 and #2 paper machines. He was a member of the former Odd Fellows Hunt Club and enjoyed hunting and canoeing. Surviving in addition to his parents are his Son, Bryan Scott Wolfe, of Covington; two Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Jeannie and Keith Simpson, of Clifton Forge and Sharon and Tony Sprouse, of Waynesboro; several nieces and nephews; the Mother of his Son, Carol Walton, of Roanoke and his former Mother-in-law, Jean Scott, of Covington. Ronald Lee Yancey, 73, of 4500 Upper Rich Patch Road, died Friday August 3, 2018 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. He was born December 24, 1944 at Mullins, WV, a son of the late Everett E. and Naomi Huff Yancey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Ron retired in 1985 as a Supervisor with the former Hercules, Inc., after 25 years of service and was also a former EMT at Hercules, Inc. Paul Edward Hoover, 85, of 2513 Jackson River Road, passed away, Thursday August 2, 2018 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. He was born June 7, 1933 in Bath County, a son of the late George Price Hoover and Laura Maude Brinkley Hoover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters. Mr. Hoover served his county with the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1995 from the former Hercules, Inc. and was the Care Taker of the Nettleton Estate for over 30 years.
