Daniel Fray Hepler, 93, of 1408 Bennettown Road died Friday, April 14, 2017, at the Woodlands Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge. Mr. Hepler was born December 29, 1923, in Alleghany County a son of the late Charles Guff Hepler and Nora Bennett Hepler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Myrtle Tucker Hepler, in 2008, and also by five Brothers, James Hepler, Tommy Hepler, Wilbur Hepler, Allen Hepler and Elmer Hepler and one Sister, Dorothy Newcomb. He was a longtime member of Lone Star Baptist Church. Surviving are three Sisters-in-law, Ruth Hepler and Dorothy Hepler, both of Covington and Norma Hepler of Evansdale, Iowa, and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Earwood officiating. Interment will be made in Lone Star Cemetery. Pamulla Murphy Campbell, 54, of 4104 Callaghan Circle, died, Friday April 7, 2017 in her residence. She was born June 16, 1962 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of Ronald K. Murphy of Ohio and Texal Crew Meeker of Covington. Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Osburn Cambell in 2012. Mrs. Campbell was formerly employed at the Movie Max. In addition to her parents, she is survived by five daughters, Crystal Ryder, Wendy Montgomery and her husband Wayne; Jessica Palella and Charles Wright; Heather Wolfe and Steven Gibson and Susan Rohr and her husband Bob , all of Covington; one son Charles Murphy of Covington; 19 grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald K. Murphy, Jr. of California and Anthony Murphy of Covington; one sister, Robin Detamore of Elyria, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. Wilma Burns Lipscomb, 82, of 416 Brentwood Drive died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Woodlands Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge. Mrs. Lipscomb was born November 18, 1934, in Highland County a daughter of the late William A. and Ava Jackson Burns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her Sister, Monna McElwee and husband, Winfred; her brother-in-law, Lewis Miller; and her mother-in-law, Rennie Robertson. She was a loving, lifelong homemaker and attended Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church. Barbara Ann Donovan Broughman, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2017, at the Springs Nursing Center. Mrs. Broughman was born April 12, 1930, in Incubator Holler at Healing Springs to the late Daniel Donovan and Blanche Arehart Donovan Foster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Harry Broughman, Jr., in 1989. She was raised in Bath County on Mill Run Farm, graduated from Valley High School and attended Madison College for Women in Harrisonburg. Geraldine Campbell Brookman, 86, of 4409 Potts Creek Rd., died, Thursday March 30, 2017 in the Alleghany Health and Rehab in Clifton Forge. Mrs. Brookman was born May 3, 1930 in Alleghany County the daughter of the late James Robert and Mae Young Campbell. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sons Ronnie O. Brookman and an infant son, a son in law Paul Thurston Sr. a grandson Paul Thurston Jr. a brother Ryland Campbell. Geraldine was a retired teacher's assistant in the title 1 program at the former Boiling Spring Elementary School and was part of the Alleghany County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Persinger Memorial United Methodist Church where she started the youth program and was counselor along with being the church treasurer for a number of years. Lauren Whitney Fix Arrington, 28, of 1831 S. Carpenter Drive went into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from Lewis Gale Hospital - Alleghany. Mrs. Arrington was born November 9, 1988, in Roanoke a Daughter of William "Billy" Fix, Jr. and Edie Sizemore Fix of Covington. She was an Honor Graduate of Covington High School, a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Jefferson College of Health Sciences and received her degree from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and was a registered nurse. Lauren was a Nationally Registered Board certified licensed paramedic and a member of the Clifton Forge Rescue Squad. She was a member of Greenwood Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She loved sports, especially watching Logan play football, to craft and cook and enjoyed spending time with her nephews, Sy and Mason. Harold Ephraim Griffith, 82, of 3314 Kanawha Trail died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at his home. Mr. Griffith was born December 22, 1934, in Alleghany County a Son of the late Willard Stanley Griffith and Grace Hylton Griffith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Griffith, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Junior Amos, Dale Wilson, Gay Howard and Leonard Howard. He was a cold war veteran with the U.S.Army. He was an employee of the former Industrial Rayon Corp in Covington and had retired from the Research Department of Hercules, Inc. in 1996. He was a longtime member of Calvary Christian Church. In addition to providing for his family, Harold always got the most enjoyment out of working on his homestead, gardening and meticulously tending to the landscape. She was born September 7, 1946, in Alleghany County to the late Harry and Virginia Terry Bush.
